NANO is our first open call juried group show featuring works by 64 across the Northeast region and beyond. Displayed in a dynamic salon-style installation, the show brings together regional and national voices, highlighting diverse artistic practices, and sparking conversation around themes from urban landscapes to abstract expressions. With its focus on intimate, thought-provoking works, NANO invites visitors to explore the vibrant and varied landscape of contemporary art while deepening connections within contemporary issues of our time.
ABOUT
NANO is a celebration of the intimate power of small works to provoke big ideas. The exhibition brings together a wide range of artists, each piece offering a unique reflection on themes ranging from urban landscapes and domestic life to abstract expression and surreal oddities. By highlighting a variety of artistic practices, NANO reflects the evolving landscape of contemporary art while fostering connections among artists and viewers.

“Our first year has been a journey of building community, and NANO is an exciting way to expand our roster of artists, bridging regional and national voices. With a focus on emerging and mid-career artists, NANO exemplifies PILLAR’s commitment to offering a platform for creative experimentation and dialogue."

Through its diverse collection of tiny works, NANO encourages curiosity and contemplation, inviting visitors to engage with art in a new way. PILLAR Gallery + Projects hopes this exhibition will not only deepen the community’s appreciation for contemporary art but also inspire ongoing conversations about the role of art in our lives today. Whether it’s through the exploration of personal narratives, bold abstraction, or unexpected combinations of media, NANO offers a rich experience for art lovers, collectors, and first-time visitors alike.
